REGULATION MARATHON MÁLAGA 2022

 

ARTICLE 1. PRESENTATION

ATRES ADVERTISING, S.L.U., organizes the Zurich Malaga Marathon, to be held on Sunday, December 11, 2022, starting at 8:30 am, and in which all persons of legal age who wish to do so may participate without any distinction whatsoever.

 

ARTICLE 2. APPROVAL

The circuit will measure 42,195 meters and will be duly approved. This test is developed under the IAAF and RFEA Road Racing Regulations, and is integrated into the AIMS calendar. The route will be marked and signposted every kilometer.

 

ARTICLE 3. ROUTE

With Start and Finish in Paseo del Parque in front of Malaga City Hall and circuit published on the official website of the Marathon, www.zurichmaratonmalaga.es

 

ARTICLE 4. SCHEDULE AND TIMES OF STEP

The Start will be given at 8:30 a.m. and the maximum time to complete the test is 5 hours 30 minutes from the official start, so the Finish will close at 2:00 p.m.

The mandatory passage times, to complete the test, from the initial departure will be the following:

Participants who do not comply with these passing times will be informed by the organization’s staff, considering themselves from that moment as runners out of control and out of the race, abandoning the traffic lanes if necessary.

 

ARTICLE 5. ROLLED APPARATUS AND GADGETS

The use of any device or gadget rolled during the race (including handbikes) is not allowed, except the chairs of disabled athletes in wheelchairs, homologated by the Federation and officially admitted by the Organization. The latter must necessarily wear a helmet.

 

ARTICLE 6. REGISTRATION

6.1. REGISTRATION PERIOD:

From December 14, 2021, until Monday, December 5, 2022, at 8:00 p.m., in its online mode, or until the 8,000 available numbers are exhausted.

If there are numbers available, a counter will be set up for this purpose during the runner’s fair.

 

6.2. REGISTRATION PRICES AND DEADLINES:

From Dec 12, 2021 to Dec 31, 2021 at midnight:

 

€ 35 + € 5 for a one-day license for non-federated runners.

People with disabilities (> 33% disability): 35 euros.

As of January 1, price changes and registration deadlines will be communicated on the official website or on official social networks with a minimum of 10 days in advance prior to any change.

 

TERMS

6.1.- To prove the disability condition, it will be necessary to attach a certificate of disability greater than 33% at the time of registration through the registration form itself.

Alternatively, a copy of the card proving the degree of disability can be sent by email to the same address.

6.2.- As of 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2022, the registration period will close, unless the organization deems it convenient to extend said period.

 

6.3.- WAY TO MAKE THE REGISTRATION:

Online, at www.zurichmaratonmalaga.es, in the registration section.

 

• 6.4.- CONSIDERATIONS:

Registration is personal and non-transferable and implies full acceptance of the Technical Regulations of the event, including the Responsible Declaration that is included in it (Annex 1).

Under no circumstances, once the registration is formalized, may the participation be transferred to another person due to not being able to participate in the test or any other reason.

 

6.5.- CANCELLATION GUARANTEE.

Once the registration is formalized, the amount of the same will not be refunded in any case. At the time of registering, the runner may make a guarantee of cancellation of their registration, with three options, with the obligation to select one when registering:

 

1) I don’t want any guarantees

2) Standard Cancellation Guarantee. Cost 10% of the registration price.

Refund of 80% of the registration or change for the 2023 edition, until November 30, 2022.

3) Premium Cancellation Guarantee. Cost 20% of the registration price. 100% refund of the registration or change for the 2023 edition, until November 30, 2022.

 

The cancellation guarantee can only be contracted at the time of registration.

The amount of the cancellation guarantee is non-refundable

Changes of ownership will not be accepted.

It is essential to contract it at the time of formalizing the registration.

 

ARTICLE 7. CATEGORIES AND CLASSIFICATIONS

7.1. CATEGORIES

The following categories are established:

 

Under 20: born in 2003 and 2004.

Under 23: born in 2000, 2001 and 2002.

Senior M / F: born in 1999 to master.

Master M35 / F35: from 35 to 39 years old, completed.

Master M 40 / F 40: From 40 to 44 years old, completed.

Master M 45 / F 45: from 45 to 49 years old, completed

Master M 50 / F 50: From 50 to 54 years old, fulfilled.

Master M 55 / F55: from 55 to 59 years old, completed.

Master M 60 / F 60: From 60 to 64 years old, completed.

Master M 65 / F65. From 65 to 69 years old.

Master M 70 / F 70: More than 70 years old, fulfilled.

…. And up to the last oldest athlete to complete the test according to the regulations.

All ages indicated must be completed on the day of the test.

* In marathon distance minors will not be able to participate.

 

7.2. CLASIFICATIONS

The following Classifications will be made:

 

Male and Female Absolute General Classification.

General Mixed Classification of Disabled in Wheelchair.

General Mixed Classification of Physically / Intellectual Disabled

Classification by Male and Female age groups.

Spanish Male and Female Classification.

 

 

ARTÍCULO 8. PREMIOS

The awards will consist in all cases of a trophy and, where provided, of a cash prize.

The prizes (male and female) will be paid in full provided that the marks made are less than 2:16:00 in men and 2:45:00 in women; otherwise, 50% will be paid.

If the marks are higher than 2:27:00 in men and 2:55:00 in women, there would be no cash prize.

If the test record were set in less than 2h06´30´´m in men or 2h23´30´´m in women, there would be an ADDITIONAL BONUS of € 1,000

These prizes are cumulative to those of the Individual General Classification and will only be paid in full when the mark made is less than 2:18:00 in men and 2:45:00 in women. Otherwise, 50% will be paid.

If the marks are higher than 2:27:00 in men and 2:55:00 in women, there would be no cash prize.

 

All cash prizes are subject to the withholdings established by Law and to the recognition of the brand by the RFEA. Participants who obtain cash prizes and who have had to carry out the doping control will not be charged until the results are in the hands of the Organization.

To collect any award it is essential to present the ID, passport or other official document that proves the identity of the athlete.

For athletes who achieve national or international records, it will be mandatory to pass doping control.

 

ARTICLE 9. NUMBERS

The location of the Runner’s Fair will be announced soon through the official Marathon channels.

 

To collect the bib number, the runners will have to present the receipt or copy of the registration and the DNI, passport or other official document that proves their identity.

No bibs will be delivered on the day of the test.

The numbers must be clearly visible on the front of the torso during the entire race and cannot be modified.

The bibs have a disposable chip incorporated, so they cannot be bent or manipulated.

 

ARTICLE 10. DISQUALIFICATIONS

The following will be grounds for disqualification:

Provide false information in the registration (age, residence, etc.).

Not doing the full tour.

Do not go through the checkpoints located in the circuit.

Do not wear the bib clearly visible on the chest, or alter or hide its advertising.

Running with a bib number and / or chip awarded to another runner.

Not following the instructions of the judges and / or Organization staff.

Have given your number to photocopy and be used by another runner in the marathon.

Refusing to pass doping control.

Having unsportsmanlike behavior.

Failure to comply with the time of passage for the pace at the finish line of 6h00.

 

ARTÍCULO 11. HYDRATION STATIONS

Supplies will be provided to the runners on the route and in the post-finish area, set up for this purpose.

There will be refreshment posts with water and isotonic drink at kilometers 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40.

There will be solid refreshment stations at some of the refreshment stations located from kilometer 20 onwards.

 

ARTICLE 12. MEDICAL ATTENTION

The Marathon of Malaga 2022 will have the necessary Medical Services to attend to the runner during the development of the same. The Organization recommends that all participants undergo a Medical Examination prior to the test, accepting all participants the risk derived from sports activity.

Likewise, the athlete declares to be in optimal physical condition to carry out this test and does so under his / her responsibility.

Any athlete with health problems is obliged to notify the Organization in advance in writing, mark their number with a red cross and state their name, address, telephone number and the health problem they suffer from. You will be obliged (for your safety) to communicate it prior to the celebration of the test, in writing (indicating your Dorsal number).

A Physiotherapy and Podiatry service will be available, which will be for the exclusive use of runners who have suffered some type of injury. The Physiotherapy service will not be used, in any case, as a relaxing or unloading massage.

The Medical Services will be empowered to remove the runner who shows a poor physical condition.

 

ARTICLE 13. LIABILITY

The Organization has an accredited Civil Liability insurance to carry out the test.

 

ARTICLE 14. WARDROBE SERVICE

The Organization will have a cloakroom service where runners can deposit their belongings, not taking responsibility for the objects delivered to it.

The staff of the Organization of the Cloakroom Service may request the runners to open their bags before depositing them, in order to supervise their content. Faced with the refusal of a broker to open a bag, the Organization may refuse to collect said bag.

 

ARTICLE 15. AUTHORIZED VEHICLES

The only vehicles that will be able to follow the test will be those accredited by the Organization. It is totally forbidden to follow the runners in any type of motor vehicle or on wheels (skates, bicycles, etc …), the Malaga Local Police having an express order to remove them from the circuit. There will be a broom vehicle that will mark the cut-off time in each section of the test, after which the runner must leave the circuit and leave the test following the instructions of any member of the organization. In the event of runners who are not in a position to continue the race and require medical attention, they will notify this Vehicle or any member of the organization, who will notify the Marathon medical services.

 

ARTICLE 16. UNAUTHORIZED MANIFESTATION

Any type of demonstration by people that could endanger the safety of the participants and the celebration of the activity is prohibited, being removed by the public order forces.

 

ARTICLE 17. ACCEPTANCE OF THE REGULATIONS

By registering, all participants accept this REGULATION and the RFEA, FAA, IAAF and AIMS Regulations. In case of doubt, the criteria of the Organization will prevail.

 

ARTICLE 18. PUBLICATION ACCEPTANCE (DATA PROTECTION POLICY)

The data provided will be incorporated into a file under the responsibility of Atres Advertising, S.L.U. whose purpose is the management of the personal data of the people who participate in the different activities and events that are organized by the company, as well as sending through any means, including electronic, information and advertising of products and services of our company, as well as products and services of those sponsors and / or collaborators of the event related to the telecommunications, financial, legal services, sports, housing, insurance, leisure and tourism, employment and training, mass consumption, automotive, energy sectors , courier, transportation, nutrition, water and NGOs.

By registering, the participant authorizes Atres Advertising, S.L.U. to the recording of their image during their participation in the event or activity, and the use of the photographs or videos made for commercial purposes and for the promotion and dissemination of the event, in any medium.

Likewise, we inform you that you can exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition of your personal data by sending a letter and attaching a photocopy of your ID or passport, to the Consultation Office for personal data files, located at Avda.
